Member Portal for the customers of Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, TX, NM and MO serves as a vital hub for almost 2 million active members throughout the nation. This online platform provides access to a wide range of healthcare services and resources, from checking coverage details and reviewing claims to finding healthcare providers and exploring wellness programs.

Member Portal page before the redesign

My Role

In this case study, I delve into the comprehensive redesign of a health insurance member portal across three critical pages: Coverage and Benefits, Prior Authorizations, and Spending. 

As an only product UX designer on my product team, I worked closely with colleagues from other product teams responsible for other pages of the portal, as well as our own development team to implement dynamic and functional designs for member facing portal. I was happy to be a part of the team that changed the face of modern healthcare,  making it more accessible, more pleasant, and easy to use.
